How Quenelle works
Play any podcast, and the moment you have a question, speak — your AI co-host hears you, answers in a natural voice, and the episode resumes where you paused. Import podcasts by searching the directory; the podcast itself is transcribed on your device. When you ask a question, the audio of your spoken question is sent to our server and speech-to-text provider to turn it into text, and that text is used to generate the reply.
Credits and subscription
- New accounts get a one-time grant of free credits to try the app.
- The subscription sets your balance to a fixed monthly allowance at the start of each billing period. Credits do not roll over — each period starts at the cap.
- Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep that period's remaining credits through its end, and after that your balance is no longer refreshed.
Account and data
- Delete your account in the app under Settings — this removes your account and personal data from our active systems, subject to a limited carve-out for information we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Your podcast audio never leaves your device. The audio of your spoken questions is sent out only to generate a reply and is not retained afterward. See our Privacy Policy for what's processed when you ask a question, and our Terms of Service for the full agreement.
Troubleshooting
- The co-host doesn't respond when I speak: make sure microphone access is granted (iOS Settings → Quenelle → Microphone) and the podcast is playing.
- "Out of credits": subscribe or wait for your next billing period to refresh the allowance.
